Brrr.... Freezing!!!

It's Brrrr.... Freezing outside today!!!
Idk..... lol. ( I started typing in texting words)
I don't know how cold it really is outside right now but it is darn cold!! I walked outside to feed the dog and water the cats and for the brief time that I was out there without gloves on my fingers turned numb. I thought that they wouldn't function ever again. They were so cold.
Today we didn't have school as you can see due to the FREEZING weather, our game was postponed, and our practice canceled. Also our basketball tournament was postponed.(was going to be this weekend)
I haven't done too much today just worked on a calendar. I made all the pages really cute. I will have to show you some pictures of it later.
Stay Warm....

Rach

Walking In A Winter Wonderland

Snow! Snow! Snow! Snow!
Tomorrow is our first SNOW day of the year!!! On one hand I'm excited to get to stay home another day. On the other hand I'm really actually ready to get back to school, routine, and my friends.
But tomorrow I'm hoping to be able to get outside and play in the snow for a while. We actually got quite a bit of snow, and I brought the air tubes upstairs so we could air em' up and take em' out tomorrow.
I have some pictures here of the snow at our house, and then some of my new haircut!!! :) I just made some collages because there were SO many pictures it was going to take forever!!!! Sorry. Hope that if you have a snow day tomorrow too you can enjoy it!!!

'Twas the day before Christmas and All through the house everyone was stirring... even the mouse...

ONLY 1 DAY UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!! WOOHOO!
So tonight is Christmas eve which we always celebrate by going to Grandma Kay's house for dinner and then to exchange gifts. This year we decided to do as we did last year and have all the cousins draw each other's names. I drew Jacob's name. I hope he doesn't read this before tonight. Anyways, so I have gotten him some cool presents and I'm very excited to give them to him. Tonight we also are going to our church's Christmas eve service that they have at church every year.
Also we did get to go shopping for Mom's Christmas present last night. I can't say what we got her yet, but hopefully I will be able to show you some pictures tomorrow. I just can't wait for Mom, Dad, and Alex to open the gifts I have for them. It's going to be SO fun. The only thing that could make Christmas any better is SNOW! I want it to snow really badly, we never ever get snow on Christmas, and it would be so fun if there would be snow. I remember on Christmas last year I went outside to feed the cats and there was NO snow... this year I want SNOW.
I have done quite a bit of decorating in my room this year for Christmas. I have my dresser that is filled with Santa's, and angels. My Christmas tree... loaded with ornaments and presents all around the bottom. A glass Christmas house that lights up, and then something else new this year.
I even decorated my window! I put Merry Christmas, and added a naughty and nice list to the bottom so Santa would know who to give more presents. :) Bud also made the naughty list this year... ha ha ha. Well that's about all for now :) I have been cleaning all day, Mom and Dad have been napping on and off, and Alex has just been playing video games and playing on the computer like normal. So I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas Eve, and A MERRY CHRISTMAS! I'll try very hard to post tomorrow. :) love, Rach.

Christmas Break

Merry Wednesday! Only 2 more days until CHRISTMAS!!! It's going to be great! I'm very excited this year for Christmas. I picked out really good gifts for my friends this year, and my family too. My friends and I every year at Christmas get gifts for each other. This year we decided to choose names. I had Bethany, and Bethany had me, so last Monday we exchanged gifts. Then I also got gifts for my 2 best friends Bree and Leona. I gave Leona her Christmas and Birthday gift this Sunday (her birthday is on New Year's eve). I will give Bree hers soon. I also have selected something really neat for Alex's Christmas present too. I can't wait to give it to him. Actually just this week he saw it wrapped and sitting under the tree in my room. So guess what he does? He walks over and puts his foot on the box and starts stepping down on it. When I screamed at him he goes... O so it's breakable. We were supposed to go shopping for Mom's Christmas present tonight but i don't know if we are going to... I don't feel well.
As you can see in the pictures above, Bud has had a good Christmas break.... making a mess out of a hay bale and using it as a bed on the porch.

This week has gone so quickly. I hope that you have a very good Christmas and that all of your Christmas shopping is done. :)

ONLY 5 DAYS TIL CHRISTMAS

WAHOO!!!! Only 5 more days until CHRISTMAS! So just to get more in the Christmas Spirit how about a bible story!!!
The Birth Of Jesus Christ
This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about : His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit. Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly. But after he had considered this an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, " Joseph son of David do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins." All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet." The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel" Which means, " God with us." When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.
The Visit of the Magi
After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, "Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him. " When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him. When he had called together all the people's chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Christ was to be born. "In Bethlehem in Judea," they replied, " for this is what the prophet has written: " But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rules of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will be the shepherd of my people Israel." Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared. He sent them to Bethlehem and said, "Go and make a careful search for the child. As soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship him." After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star they were overjoyed. On coming to the house they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense, and of myrrh. And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their home country by another route.
So Christmas is coming up very soon! I'm looking forward to it and then the long break that we have also. I'm hoping that we will have some snow!! Anyways.... today has been very relaxing and tonight at church we are having a youth Christmas gift exchange. :) Hope everyone has a good Sunday!!

Darling Drawings

This is my art project that I was excited to show you!! It is grid art! This is the magazine picture I tore out, and below is the drawing that I did of this page. I thought It turned out pretty good!!!
This is the two pictures next to each other.
The other thing that we do in art is a sketchbook. We have an assignment that we draw and turn in weekly. This is the cover I designed.
This is my first sketch book drawing!! I got a 27/25 because I did the bonus. I thought It was good.
Now about the last few days. So I told you about the high school meet we had to work at, and that night we were watching Mizzou play, well they won. Then Friday school was pretty much CHAOS!! We started working on our four year plan for high school, and then later went to the high school to listen to the speeches given by the kids running for Student Council. We will be voting on Tuesday. Our meet was canceled on Friday so after school we had practice, which wasn't too hard. We were stuck in the old Elementary gym, so all we could really do was work on hand offs.
After practice Leona picked up Bree and Me then we went to her house!! It was lots of FUN. We talked, made cupcakes, and watched a movie. "She's the Man" with Leona's favorite actress Amanda Bynes. This morning Bree's dad picked her up, and Leona dropped me off at my house. So this afternoon all I really did was work on my art project. At around 2:50 we left for the Hubbard's house. We spent the rest of the afternoon watching Mizzou play against UCONN. Sadly they lost, I was hoping for them to make it to the final four. But North Carolina is still in and hopefully will keep going forward!! I have a very funny Tyler Hansbrough story.
While we were at Jefferson City the tour guide was telling us about what the requirements are to be able to have a bust in the Capital. She said they had to live in Missouri at one time, and do something great. So Anthony asked her if he could elect Tyler Hansbrough into the Capital. She said,"Who's that?". Anthony goes,"The best college basketball player EVER!". She didn't get it but the guy tour guide was standing over to the side laughing his head off. It was really funny. And I'm sure Alex would agree that he needs to be elected in.
When the game was over(by the way my bracket is going to suffer majorly for that) we left, leaving Alex behind to play, and went to see Grandma Rie. She was glad to see us, we talked for a while, and she told us all about the people she's met and what she's been doing. We were there for about an hour, then came home, and Mom is making some tuna noodle casserole. MY FAVORITE!!!! It has been a very nice day, even though it has been cold, windy, and snowy. But the snow is very pretty. Have a Great Evening!!!

Hi I can't blog yet, because I have to finish my art project to show you all!!! So if you read this come back later, for a REAL post! Bye.

Track Meets

So, I'm just finally getting settled. For the last few hours I have been working at a track meet for the high schoolers. Luckily it was a home meet. I am currently at Kay's house watching college basketball, along with Dad and Alex. But Mom unfortunately is still at the track because she is a timer.
So for now I am sitting in front of the computer, warm and cozy. Before I was standing in the rain, huddled up with lots of people under a couple of umbrellas looking for shelter. I was working at the triple jump. We were measuring and recording, the jumps and then I went and waited around with Mom for a while.
Dad picked Me up later after he had picked up our PICTURES!!! We went to have pictures about a month ago, for the baseball team, but I had mine done too. So they picked them up tonight, and they look SO AWESOME!!! I will have to show you some of them because WOW! I love them so much.
The good thing is that tomorrow is Friday and also we were scheduled to have our first meet, but because of the weather they canceled it. So I will be going to practice then having a wonderful time at LEONA'S HOUSE!! Me, Bree, and Leona are having a slumber party at her house. So this will be VERY fun!! Just warning you that I won't be blogging tomorrow.

Coooooooooooooooolllllllllllllldddddddddddddd

Brr... FREEZING!!!!!!!!
Today was SO cold! When we went out to the van after school it was covered in Ice and Mom had to scrape so we could go to the grocery store, then home.
But lets talk about the rest of my day first!
First hour in science we graded some homework, and then we went over some tough questions on the stubby guide. I think I got the whole thing completed, I also got my name on the board today, because I found the hard answer, and he told us that anyone who could tell show him the right answer could put their name on the board, So I got my name up there again. So hopefully I will get a soda and candy bar, after the Superbowl. I am soooooooooooooooo excited for the Super Bowl party that we are having at Steve and Donis on next Sunday. Second hour in Math, or Algebra 1 we graded our homework, then we went over some stuff we learned last year. It was pretty easy, we had homework, and I finished it in American history. I finished it in that class because we went to the computer lab and were researching information on the 15 battles, because we have a huge project that will be due this week. The assignment is to write a summary on three of the 15 major battles of the Revolutionary war. Here are the 15: Lexington and Concord,Fort Ticonderoga,Bunker Hill,Long Island,Quebec,Lake Champlain,Trenton,Princeton,Savannah,Saratoga,Charleston,Cow Pens, York Town,Treaty of Paris. I picked to do summaries of Lexington and Concord,Bunker Hill, and Trenton. Mainly because they all were major wins, and interesting wins for the colonists, It's easier to write about something knowing that we won.We also have to make a poster or diorama or something as a visual aid, of just one of the battles. So I haven't decided which one yet, but I'm thinking Trenton. We'll see. I got all the stuff I need as fast as possible, then did my math homework so I wouldn't have to bring home that huge MoNsTeR bOoK! So I do have some homework in American history. Fourth hour in facs we went over how to set the table, and we got our tests back. I got a 100/100, It was really easy though. We also folded towels, sorted silver ware, and a few other odd jobs. Fifth hour in P.E. we played bad mitten and Me and Marlanna won! We are playing in a tournament, in pool B. So our first game was against Aaron and Eric. The final score was 12 to 15! Our team motto is Hustle, and Muscle! Sixth hour in English we did this thing called stomp the bard, which I still don't know what that means, but we stomped. We did these things that Shakespeare did and it was really weird, No homework though. Seventh hour I went to Mom's room and put away some books then went to the library to get a book just in case we got snowed/iced in tomorrow. I finished my Princess Diaries Book, so I took a test on it and then got the next one in the series called Princess in the Spotlight. It is really good so far, I like Meg Cabot, she has really funny books. But so far in this second one, Mia's Mom is pregnant, and she is going to have an interview with some Teen Magazine and she doesn't want to. So hopefully I can get some more read in the book. After School Mom, Alex, and Me left and went to the grocery store just to pick up some items in case we got snowed/iced in. Then we came home, and we had to park at the top of the hill at Stephanie's. We walked down the path and came home. As soon as I came in I had some Kitty business to take care of. Once that was taken care of that, I came inside and started working on one of these summaries. I finished the one on Lexington and Concord, and I'm so happy to have one of them done. I have really been dreading them but knowing that that first one was easy I'm hoping the next one's will be just like that. Tonight I am hoping that I can get at least one more done tonight, then the other tomorrow, and do the poster on Wednesday after school. So if everything goes as planned I will be done by Wednesday night. Wish Me luck. Bye.
PS. Tonight We aren't doing anything! At all, none, nothing, zilch. Just going to relax at home and try to stay warm. Poor Kitty's out in the snow.

Today

Fabulous! Great! Terrific! That pretty much sums up my day.Lets try this again.

Science- Lab, do questions. Not very fun, but no homework, I can live with that.

Algebra 1- Go over homework, get some more. It's okay, I finished in class. It wasn't too hard. Just took some figuring out.

American history- Do review of the chapter. I did all 1-20 in class. I did them well too. I didn't put down sloppy answers. I just didn't talk and stuff like I usually do. I stayed on task and got all of my questions done.

Facs- We made No bake cookies! Yum! My group made the kind without coco in it. Everybody really liked them. I brought some home to give to Mom, and Dad. It was really fun, and easy. So now I can make them myself.

Lunch time- Yum, Yum. We all ate lunch at lunch time. It was delicious! After lunch we went to P.E.

P.E.- We ran, then went to the weight room. I benched the light bar, with 20 pounds on it. It was pretty hard. But I did it. We also did squats, jump ropes, and a bunch of other lifty up and down things.

English- We had readers workshop. I read quite a bit in my "Princess Diaries" book. Finally we are getting to the good part, when everybody finds out a princess, and I only have 60 pages left. I want to read the next one. Hopefully by Monday I will have this book finished.

7Th hour- I went to Mom's room and put away books, then went and made some copies.

This was my day at school. Not too much. No homework so that is good, but no real funny stories, or anything worth posting. After school Me, Mom, and Alex went to Movie Gallery to get some movies. We got "Kung Fu Panda" which was my choice, "The City of Ember" the family movie that we will be watching tonight on our family movie night, and "Hometown Legend" just a fun movie that we really like and Alex wanted to get. The plus was that when we rent three movies, you get a two liter of either Mountain Dew or Pepsi FREE! So we got a bottle of Pepsi, which is my favorite! Can't wait to pop some popcorn, get a cold glass of Pepsi, sit down with my feet on the Ottoman and laugh really hard while watching Kung Fu Panda. Kung Fu Panda is one of my personal favorites. Right now Mom is taking a nap, Alex and Me are sitting here watching Hometown Legend. It's a really good movie, by Jerry B. Jenkins, the same author of the "Left Behind" series. We've seen it before and thought it was funny and had a good story.

By the way I read on Kelly's blog that Harper is now on 47% oxygen.

So I guess I will be leaving now! Bye. On a cold day it will be fun to stay inside and watch movies.

Coooooooooooooooolllllllllllllldddddddddddddd

Hey! Today was great. First hour in science we graded the rest of the worksheet and took notes. Second hour in algebra we had a substitute, so we just had some work book pages, which I finished during today. Third hour in American history we finished up reading and then did the section review. Fourth hour in music we went to the computer lab to work on our projects. Bree and Me are partners, she was gone today on the Stu-co trip, so I worked alone, mainly just getting information and pictures. Fifth hour in P.E. we played hockey, sixth hour in English we had a reading workshop day, and I got a new book called The Princess Diaries. Seventh hour I went to Mom's room and worked. After school we had basketball practice from 3:30 to 5:00. We came home after that and I started working on gifts for my friends. So far I have Bree's, Leona's, Josie's, Courtnee's, and I am working on Gina's, I still have alot to go but I like it, I mean knowing that I will get to watch them open it, and be SURPRISED. I just stopped working about 30 minutes ago, but tonight has been very relaxing. Well, Bye.
