ONLY 5 DAYS TIL CHRISTMAS

WAHOO!!!! Only 5 more days until CHRISTMAS! So just to get more in the Christmas Spirit how about a bible story!!!
The Birth Of Jesus Christ
This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about : His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit. Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly. But after he had considered this an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, " Joseph son of David do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins." All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet." The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel" Which means, " God with us." When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.
The Visit of the Magi
After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, "Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him. " When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him. When he had called together all the people's chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Christ was to be born. "In Bethlehem in Judea," they replied, " for this is what the prophet has written: " But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rules of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will be the shepherd of my people Israel." Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared. He sent them to Bethlehem and said, "Go and make a careful search for the child. As soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship him." After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star they were overjoyed. On coming to the house they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense, and of myrrh. And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their home country by another route.
So Christmas is coming up very soon! I'm looking forward to it and then the long break that we have also. I'm hoping that we will have some snow!! Anyways.... today has been very relaxing and tonight at church we are having a youth Christmas gift exchange. :) Hope everyone has a good Sunday!!

Hello... I'm still alive after FINALS. I capitalize it because it was horrible. I did surprisingly well on all of them. But still... all the studying and stressing and just the fact that I had 8 tests this week. On my geometry final I got a 93% which is higher than I've ever got on any math test this year. On my biology final I got 100%!!! I studied a ton for it and it payed off. On my American government I got an 85% which isn't too bad, and in Spanish I really don't know yet. But I felt really confident about it ( so lets just assume I did really well). In P.E. we had to do fitness testing for our final. I did fine in all of the fitness areas... O yeah I did 15 pull ups. I got an A on my English final and 100% on my art final. So it was pretty good, and I think that I'll have all A's this semester.
Below are our shirts from Spanish club, I chose Luisa to be my name. Here is my Letterman's jacket!!! This is the back, with my name and a Tiger.
Then on the front is my name, number, and S!
Here is me last Sunday after Church.
These are a couple pictures from over Thanksgiving break. Here is Sydney in front of a crazy tree that we saw on the homes tour.
Here is Mom and Grandma Charlie!
This is from THANKSGIVING DAY! Grandma Charlie with the turkey.

Here is Drew on his birthday holding up a jar of pickles that he just received.

HAVE A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS BREAK!!!

Christmas eve pictures

Hello! Okay, I have only 6 hours before we leave for Colorado! I am so excited and at the same time very nervous. But I don't really want to talk about Colorado, I really want to tell you about Christmas! I had so much fun last night at Grandma Kay's house for our family Christmas eve dinner and exchanging of gifts. This year we did it differently. Instead of adults drawing names and giving giving gifts to all the kids, the kids just drew names, and the adults didn't give gifts. I have some pictures here and I will put on a video, maybe two, but I only have a little time, before I need to start packing again. But here are some pics, I will write about them as I go.

First of all this is the line of gifts we had ready to take to Kay's house last night. A lot!

This is Tate opening a bag of gifts that I got him. If you didn't already know, Tate was the cousin that I drew from the basket. So I got him a coloring book, crayons, and a dinosaur puzzle, that glows in the dark.

This is Drew, when he opened his set of nutcrackers. He received a nice set of sports nutcrackers from his brother Jacob, who was his person. I love the expression on his face. Even though you can barley see it.

This is a picture of Grandma Rie, getting one of her special cookies from her tin of them. She loved all of the cookies. Actually I think my favorite part of this Christmas was Grandma Rie opening all of her presents before it was her turn. I just kept laughing when she would tear the paper down a little then look at Kay to make sure that she didn't see her. And then when she figured out what it was, when she said " Oh, I love this!". I also loved when she said, " I don't know if I should have one of these cookies.", as she is taking one out of the tin and putting it in her mouth.

This is of Grandpa Larry giving Grandma Billye her bag of teats from Stephanie. I love those cookies.
This is a picture of Tate with his dog Wheeler. I got him this big puppy and he is so adorable. Tate was so excited. And the cutest part was at the end of the night when they were going to leave, and Tate took his new blanket and wrapped the puppy up and carried him out. It was very sweet.
This was the best of the Christmas eve pictures. So hope you enjoy them I will put on a video here at the end. Bye.
