Saturday Night Football

Alex's Mighty Mite football team had a game tonight against Lockwood and our team came out on top 30 to 12. They did a really good job and Alex had two really good touchdowns, and an amazing block that let another kid score a touchdown. Besides that he got to play quarter back, running back, and tackle one of his friends on the other team. Two kids on Alex's baseball team were on that football team and it was weird for him to tackle the other kid. Well that's all I have for today. I'll try to blog tomorrow!!!
Have a good night

Family Reunion!

Friday was a fun day full of site seeing and being with family. Here are some pictures of our day. This is the cemetery that we went to where grandma Charlie's grandma and grandpa are buried.
I don't know who this is but it was a cute little grave.
This is a grave to a civil war person.
This is her grandparents grave.
We drove past Camp Wakonda on our way to the cemetery.
When we got to the grand parents house dad found a Caterpillar. Isn't it cute.
This is the old barn that Charlie said she used to play in.
This is the house that she stayed in during the summer with her grandparents.
Grandma Charlie!!!
I love this picture... I took of some wild flowers we saw.

This is a grave of one of my relatives, and guess what?!The mother's name is Mary Ellen Clark. So my Great Great grandma's name is Mary Ellen Clark, and Jacob, Drew, and Tate's Great grandma's name is Mary Ellen Clark. Weird huh?
This is the grave of a relative who was in the navy for 3 wars. WW 2, Korea, and Vietnam.
For dinner yesterday we went to a restaurant called Red Barn. Here is Sydney and me waiting for our food.
Here is Sam and Alex. We had a good time.
This is Sydney and Me again at the fireworks show that they had down at the park. We walked down to the park and sat and watched some really pretty fireworks.

Alex of course had to play baseball sometime.
More relatives talking and having a good time.

The fireworks were really pretty. I couldn't get very good pictures but here were the best ones I did get.

Busy Day #6

Today actually hasn't been busy. I got to sleep in a little later than usual, but had to get up at around 8 so I could get ready and be at basketball camp by 9. It was pretty good, we got to do a little more of actual playing. Then after camp mom picked me up and we came home. She mowed part of the yard, and I've been working on my room. It still is not done, but I'm actually getting some work done. If I would get off of the computer then I could get more done. But with my own laptop, right here, ya know it's so hard not to blog. I actually have been listening to some music, and It was getting boring so I stoppted to change it, and some how I'm now blogging. But I've gotten a lot done today... I think. I moved the old dumpy computer out of my desk and put my new stylish Red laptop in its place. I changed out the pictures on my desk, and since I don't have that huge monitor I have tons of space for more decorations and things on my desk. I've also done alot of dusting. I did all of the nooks and crannys in my room, did a little in Alex's and even did a little in the bathroom. So I'm not totally wasting time. But you know how it is... I was dusting the book shelf, and knocked over on of my little decorations and it broke. So I had to stop and got try and fix it. Then I went and helped dad wash Bud. It was actually really fun. Except for when he shook and got wet dog all over me. We took some shampoo and really got him clean. I would have taken a picture but I couldn't. He is shedding all of him winter fur and getting ready for the really hot summer days. I don't know how many ticks we saw and picked off of him today. They were everywhere, on his legs, back, side, belly, neck. Poor guy....got tons of little nasty things sucking his blood. After we finished washing him up. Which by the way he looks so much whiter and not brown. After we finsihed washing him up, we went over to Chad and Christy's to see if they would like to come over for dinner. Which they are. So I have been trying to get things looking 1/2 way decent. I at least have all of my clothes hung up, and the things that need to be put in the closet in nice piles. The desk was a really big thing though. I will need to vaccum still, and maybe clean my mirror. But just some minor things that I will be able to do tomorrow. So If I don't post again tonight.... good night!!

2:38 and Worth the Pain

ONLY 3 MORE DAYS UNTIL SCHOOL IS OUT!!!
I'm so excited that school is FINALLY going to be over. We have three more days and all three of them are filled. Tomorrow I'm only going to 1-3 hours then I'm going to a Springfield Cardinal's game. It is for getting perfect attendance this year. On Thursday we are going to the park to play, and have lunch. Then on Friday we are going to have an awards assembly... and it's a 1/2 day.
Here is my school day...

Science- Look over tests
Math-Look over quiz/watch video
American history-Watch video
Art-Clean out drawer and turn in all homework/class work
P.E.- Play dodge ball
English- Read/ turn in all class work
That was everything that I did. Not very much. Tomorrow I don't think we will be doing very much either. So the week is all fun from here.
After school today we had our track party. We all went to Sundae's, I got a chocolate shake. We turned in our uniforms and handed out medals. I had a total of 13. 5 GOLD, 4 SILVER, AND 4 BRONZE. I also found out that I now hold the middle school girls 800 record. I was SO excited, she even printed out a sheet that has all of the girls records for all events on it, and my name was in the 800 spot!!!!!!!! So that was the biggest thing for today.
I have something planned for the rest of this week though. Tomorrow night I will have softball, and Thursday night too. Then Friday we will have a last day of school party, and Saturday and Sunday Alex has a baseball tournament, and on Monday I'll have softball practice. On Tuesday we will have our first softball game, and on Wednesday....
It just keeps going like that. But without school...things won't be so bad. We'll have all day to play and relax before all this stuff.
I hope you have a nice evening!
Love

Run Like the Wind

So track season if officially over!
Last night was our last meet, and conference too. I was in three events, Long jump, 800,and 4x4. Since our conference isn't very big the meet went pretty fast. Just that it was a long ways away is why we got home so late.
  1. Long jump- very bad. 10'10'' was my best, and that is far from my very best.
  2. 800- I GOT FIRST!!! This race was way closer though than any other time I've gotten first. The first lap I stayed right behind these two girls from Pleasant Hope, who beat me last time. Except this time they both were staying right by each other. So on the 3rd corner I started to pass one of the girls and she said to the other one " Go on with out me". So she sped up, but on the last 100 I got out in front of the girl and cut in to the first lane in front of her. At some point she grabbed my arm and was pulling and pushing me. I thought that I was going to fall down ( because I almost did) but I just stuck my elbow back and tried to keep her behind me. As I crossed the finish line ( IN FRONT OF HER) She was hanging off my arm, and both of them burst into tears. I guess I ruined their plan. They were going to cross the finish line together, holding hands. It was this one girls last meet before she moved, but I kept that from happening. So I have now won 3 first places! My time was 2:42 which is very close to my best time ever of 2:38. But did I mention that it was raining the whole time that we ran. I was soaked by the end of the night, along with all of my stuff. But before I end the story we still have 4x4.
  3. 4X4- We were ahead in the 4x4 until the end of the third lap. It always seems like they pass us at the same place, but I couldn't catch up with that girl. She took off, and we wound up getting second place. So I came out with 2 medals.
  4. In the end we wound up losing by 4 points. SO CLOSE! But I was really happy with the outcome of all my events, and the season in general.
  5. After the meet we stopped at Burger King and got some food. I was so hungry and tired. I ate a Jr. Whopper and chocolate shake. So when I got home, took a shower, and went to bed at 11:00 I slept really good. This morning though It was really hard to get up.
  6. Today at school we did quit a bit. We did a lab, review,we read, painted, had counselor, did book work, and that was about it. I did have a sketchbook to do, but I finished that. I also need to read, and do a little more with my I Search paper. I have one interview though, and can get the other one tomorrow. So this was the biggest night of the week. I'm very nervous for tomorrow though, because we have a big E.O.C exam that will take us two hours to work on. So please pray for me tomorrow. The exam will count as 10% of my semester grade, which will effect whether or not I'll pass. This class counts as a high school credit, that's why it's so important. The good thing is that it doesn't hurt my GPA. So have a nice day!

By the way, Bud has been staying much drier since we put up the tarp, and he has some chat to lay in instead of mud. And Mom has been getting better sleep.

THE LONGEST WEEK OF MY LIFE!!!!!!

Hey!Today has been very...
LONG!!!!!!!!!!!
Last night wore me OUT!! We had a track meet, and the weather was well... FREEZING, AND RAINING!!! But we ran anyway. So crazy, my cough is now worse along with my runny nose. As far as my events went, I was only in the 800 and 4x4. I placed 4th in the 800, with a time of 3 minutes and 7 seconds. Our 4x4 team got 3rd!! Bethany, our first leg put us in 6th. Bree took us into 4th, and I brought us into 3rd. Then Josie was passed by a Bolivar girl that was really fast, she only trailed her a little the whole way around. Then right before the finish line she beat her. So we got 3rd!! The weather was horrible and we were happy that we did so well in a BIG meet like that. Lots of schools had huge buses and were from places like Marshfield,Branson,Catholic,Republic, and Buffalo.
Besides track... We have have two softball games tomorrow in Seymour. I am kind of nervous because it has been SO long since I have actually played softball. So we might be a little rusty the first game.
Besides softball... We have had a long week of school. First of all we are preparing ourselves for the M.A.P. test. So all week we have been doing review and games to get caught up on things that will be on the test. In science currently we are learning about planets, their orbit, moons, and the sun. So we've been doing lots of labs, and space activities. In Algebra we have been going over measurements, decimals, fractions, square roots, tangents, and all sorts of stuff. Besides the M.A.P. test, we also have to take an E.O.C. exam, because we are in the Algebra 1. So this is a really big test that is coming up!! In American history we're learning about government, and how our state and federal government work. We have a big test preparation packet due next Thursday due to our testing for three days. I will be working on that and getting it out of the way if possible. Art right now is pretty fun I'd say, we are doing two point perspective drawings of our initials. Our sketchbook from last week was cool, called Echoes. (I might post a picture of it sometime) This weeks is of a movie or DVD cover. So I need to pick a cover and start drawing it this weekend. I got a 96/100 on the last drawing I showed you, and then got a 25/25 on my Echoes sketchbook page. In P.E. we just finished up a basketball tournament, in which we got last place. Today we went to the weight room, and I don't know if we are starting a new unit or not. So nothing much there except for that I have been getting my step goals the last few days because of all the running activities we've been doing. In English we have been doing more M.A.P. review. Everyday we do a packet or play a review game and I'm very glad that we are through with it. The only bad thing is that we will have to start working on our I Search Papers and I don't want to write an eight page paper. In Mom's room 7th hour I have been putting away books and taking an inventory of all the shelved books. This is a large task! I have not been in there the last few days because we left for the meet in the middle 7th hour yesterday, and today I went to watch the preview of the middle school play. It was about Mark Twain, and some of the microphones weren't working so it was hard to hear. My friend Leona is in the play and she did really good today, she had a lot of lines to remember. Marlana also was in the play.
If you're wondering about what M.A.P. testing is I will explain. M.A.P. stands for Missouri Assessment Program(I think?). So we spend three days in testing these booklets. The test scores are used to see how well our teachers are teaching us.
Good Things about M.A.P. TEST-
  1. NO HOMEWORK!
  2. You have several breaks to go outside, or talk.
  3. You get lots of yummy treats and drinks to snack on while testing.

Bad Things about M.A.P. TEST-

  1. You have to be quiet for long amounts of time.
  2. You are stuck in the same class room for FOREVER!
  3. I'M IN MR.OCHNER'S ROOM!!!!!!
  4. It's a test that will be effecting whether or not you get to go on fun trips at the end of next year.
  5. It's A TEST! Nobody likes tests!!!

I am very busy this weekend too. Today after school, I had track practice then went straight to softball and have just got home. Tomorrow I have two softball games in Seymour and then I will get to come home and work on homework. Then Sunday we have church then will be attending a funeral. So I have lots of things to do over the next few days, but hopefully we will have fun, and keep everything STRESS FREE.......

Lions, and Tigers, and Bears OH MY!!

Here are the pictures I promised of this weekends FUN!! (beware, picture overload)
Saturday:
Things started out lazy, but then I went outside and found this awesome turkey feather on the ground, and brought it in to find Mom and Alex were going to get movies.
Me and Coco had a fun weekend relaxing together, and he loved all the extra attention.

Mom made wonderful treats for us to give to friends and family. This was one of them.
For our three favorite neighbors we got them little teddy bears with some candy.
After Mom and Alex came home, and Dad got here, He started the four wheeler for me so I could go out and ride. I noticed that the creek was up, so I got my camera and headed off to take some pictures. I took 60 or 70 and only posted 6, so in the near future you may be seeing more of these.
I found these odd prints in the mud, and took a picture. Then showed Dad, and he thinks that they are just raccoon tracks.
This Is me in my helmet and everything. When I would see something I wanted to take pictures of I would get off the four wheeler real fast and then run and take it, then get back on. So well I thought I would take one of my self, and realized I had a helmet on. But that's ok, now you know that I am safe and wear a helmet.
I love this picture, and I have some even better one's just like it. It was so gorgeous!!!
Here is our house, it looks so cold and sad in the winter. Here is the old barn. I liked this picture, I have better though. Now Saturday night we switched over into red neck mode and had ourselves a wonderful Valentine's banquet. This is Mom and her new hair style. I did it myself, and have had several others ask to have me help them out too. (not really!)
Each spot at the banquet had a plate, and a little calendar card that said, You Might Be a Redneck If... and I think this one says, You use your lawn mower as a cup holder.
Here are my two buddies, Gina and Josie.
This is David in his Redneck outfit.
And his Mom tattoo.
While the adults were having fun, us youth were watching out for the little kids. In one room we had a movie going, Toy Story, and in nursery were the little babies, and in the pre-school room were the kids that wanted to play. This little boy eating the pizza was so cute, he just would look at me.
Tate here was playing with Dinosaurs and Cowboys...
... While the girls were having a tea party.

Here was everyone having a good time.
Trudy, she always smiles for the camera.
They all just stared at the TV and watched the movie so well.
Here is the Cute Couple.
After we finished cleaning up and getting everything put away we went over to Kay's house to exchange Valentine's with the family's. Here we all are gathered around the TV.
This was SO sweet, Tate was reading his Valentine to Grandma Rie.
Then Sunday morning we went to Sunday school, and then it was our week to do Children's church. This was our class, well part of it, I didn't want to be a distraction, so I took it real fast and didn't move to a better angle.
After church we went to Sonic and got our great dollar menu meals, and then headed to Alex's basketball game. It wasn't too exciting, they won by a lot.
The score board speaks for itself. So we came home and watched Fire Proof after that. It was really good. Later we went to youth, and to Kay's house again, Alex spent the night so Mom and Me could go shopping today. Below is what we did in youth, the before and after picture. I don't really know how to explain it, so only some people may get these pictures, but it doesn't really matter. It was just kinda funny, Leona and Josie.
