Snow Days

More snow!! We are yet again out of school for a snow day. Last night we received the call, and today we have been just around the house watching The Office. Here are some pictures from Sunday afternoon. Me, Josie, and Abi went sledding at the dam. We had a really good time!

Sunday night after we got done sledding, we went to our youth pastor's house to watch the Superbowl. We played games, had a huge snowball fight, and cheered for the Green Bay Packers. It was all in all a wonderful night.

Monday night we had a basketball game in Ash Grove. Yesterday, the highlight of my day was having my picture taken for a track preview!

My plans for today consist of finishing up season six of The Office, work on some cross stitching projects, read my book ( Chanda's Wars) , and pick up my messy room.

Hmm.. where to begin? It's been a while since I've last blogged. So I have a lot of catching up to do.
First off, this past week we have been snowed in! Starting Tuesday morning and throughout the day we received a foot and a half of snow. Josie (my next door neighbor/ BFF) and I went out to play in the blizzard Tuesday afternoon. It was freezing, but quite an adventure! Wednesday afternoon all five of us cousins, Alex, Jacob, Drew, Tate, and myself went sledding down the driveway. I had a great time playing with the boys! Yesterday, Josie came over for the afternoon. We watched The Office, after which we went into the kitchen and put some scissors and a potato in Jello. (those of you who watch The Office will understand) Later we went over to Josie's house for dinner, and went from there to my youth pastor's house for a game night. It was a really fun night with a group of great friends. Afterwards I came home with Josie and spent the night at her house. Today her mom made us a yummy breakfast, and then we watched Mama Mia. It's been a wonderful week home from school!

I never really posted about how my cross country season turned out. I got to run in 6 meets during the season. My first meet was in Ash Grove, in which I came in second place. Another Saturday in Humansville I ran, coming in 4th. I also placed second at Lakeland, and Ash Grove again. Then at Districts which was in East Newton I came in 9th place. On November 6th, in Jeff City, I ran at state. I came in 34th place in Class 2. State was an amazing experience, and I'm very excited for next year and hopefully going back again.

This Christmas was wonderful! Our first Christmas was actually at Thanksgiving with the Zumbiel family, Grandma Charlie, and Elizabeth. We had Thanksgiving in Mt. Vernon at grandma Charlie's house, and Christmas at our house a few days later. Then Christmas eve we went to Kay and Papa's house at usual. Christmas morning, Kay, Papa, grandma Charlie, and grandma Billye came over to watch us open presents.

New years eve, we celebrated by having the Hubbard family out to our house for cards!

So far basketball season is going good, we've been very busy with games and practices.

Softball season went very well! We came in second at districts.

School is going well, my classes this year are computer apps, algebra 2, Integrated science, American history, English 2, health, personal finance, and strength training. For softball first semester I got Academic all-state.

LOVIN' Summer:)

Well, So much has happened since the last time that I told you about my summer! I have been to a couple basketball camps, played in a few softball games, gone to the beach swimming with my friends, setting up a batting cage, driving, going to church, and youth, this week I'm helping out with our Church's vacation bible school. Next week we have softball camp all week, the following week we have Alex's USSSA 12u World Series, and the week after that I'm going to Church camp, and our family is going to on a "vacation", camping for a few days.

In the past couple days we have had so much fun spending time with family, and celebrating Independence Day. Also we have several birthdays coming up this month, so we will be spending more time together.

Summer, Summer, Time Is HERE!

It finally feels like Summer has started! Friday, May 21st was the last day of school. But on that day we were at the State Track Meet. So when we returned on Saturday night, and then went to church Sunday and graduation, it really didn't feel like we ever really went into summer. But over the past week we have done some things, and it's really starting to feel like SUMMER now!

The following Monday after State, our high school baseball team played in Washburn for Sectionals. We went to watch them play, which was very fun, and a good time.

On Tuesday we had our Track Banquet. We had pizza, and our Coach gave out letters, and senior gifts. Of my friends Leona, Josie, and Me got varsity letters. I'm really excited to order patches for my Letterman's jacket.

Then Wednesday the baseball boys played Quarterfinals at our home field. So of course everyone was there to watch them play. It was a fun game to watch and they won, and tomorrow we are going up to Springfield to watch them play at State. This is the farthest that any Stockton baseball team has gone.

Thursday was Softball day. I had my first softball practice of the year, and that night we also had our first softball game. We lost to Mont Rose.

Friday we didn't have anything to do, it was Mom and Dad's 22nd anniversary, so we went out to dinner to celebrate that.

On Saturday, the 29th it was my BIRTHDAY:)! We didn't do too much, just hung around the house, and that evening we had a wedding to go to.

Then Sunday Alex had a baseball tournament. So we went over to Nevada to watch him play. His team won one game and then lost the second. I got SO sunburned on my legs, and feet. We came home that night, and I went to youth and then a bunch of families went up to the pool and we cooked out.

Yesterday, we celebrated my birthday with the family. We had them all out for lunch, and then had banana splits. It was really fun, and I enjoyed getting to see everyone.

This morning I woke up and went to weights at 8:30. Which I really didn't want to go, but it was pretty fun just to hang out with my friends, and get to see them again. Now here in a while I'm going to softball practice. It's going to be SO hot. Ahh... I'm hoping it's quick.

Well I have gotten a little bit of everything so far, and It feels like summer now!

We're back from state, and it was so fun! Here are my results:

MILE: 7th place with a time of 5:28 (a new school record)

800: Didn't make it through prelims. Ran a 2:33

4x4: 2nd place with a time of 4:10.22 (new school record)

District,Sectionals, STATE!

So since the last time i wrote, we have had two track meets. Districts, and also Sectionals. Then this coming Thursday,Friday, and Saturday I will be in Jefferson City Missouri for the Class 2 STATE track meet:)!!!Here are my results....
At Districts:
Mile- 2nd place with a time of 5:38.
800- 1st place with a time of 2:28 (PR)
4x4- 1st with a time of 4:12
400-5th place with a time of 1:04

At sectionals:
Mile- 2nd place with a time of 5:36 (PR)
800- 2nd place with a time of 2:28
4x4- 1st place with a time of 4:11.025 (less than a second away from our school record)

So this week I'm going to state in 3 events! All of which i hopefully will do well in. I'm so excited and I know that all of us girls will have a good time.

Conference

This week we had our conference track meet, which we hosted at our track. We came in second place.

I took 1st in the mile, and 800. I placed 5th in the 400, and our 4x4 team took 1st with a time of 4:13. Which is 3 seconds away from the school record.

Our next meet is districts, Saturday in Lamar. We are hoping to qualify lots of people for sectionals, and also for our 4x4 team to do well.

Prom is also on Saturday.

MSU and Conference

This past week we have only had one track meet. It was at Missouri State University. There were around 60 schools at the meet, and it took the whole day. We left school early around 9:15. Only the varsity went to this meet.Then when we got to the track we just hung around, I waited about 3 hours before I even ran my first race. In the mile I did pretty well actually, coming in 3rd, with a time of 5:39. I also got 3rd in the 800 with a time of 2:32, and in the 400 I came in 10th with a time of 1:05. Our 4x4 did really well too:) We came in 1st place in our division, with a time of 4:15. The biggest part of the whole meet though was finding out that we got 2nd place! We almost won, we only lost by 2 and a half points. :( But we were still SO excited, and took lots of pictures, and had a really good time celebrating.

This next week we have 2 meets. Conference, and Districts. Conference is on Monday at home, and I'm running the 400, 800, and 4x4. Then on Saturday we have Districts in Lamar. Which is also the same day as Prom. So we will be rushing around, and I'm going to be really tired.

So here are the results from our meet on Tuesday at Strafford.

In the 1 mile: 2nd place with a time of 5:37

400: 3rd place with a time of 1:04

800: 2nd place with a time of 2:32

4x4: 1st place with a time of 4:19

I also had said that our meet was on Thursday, but it is actually on Friday, in Ashgrove.

I now have a total of 21 medals!:) 7 gold, 8 silver, and 6 bronze.

This week was our first week of track! Here is how my events have went.

Strafford Warm up meet: 4x8, 800, 4x4

We got 4th place in the 4x8, I got 2nd in the 800 with a time of 2:39, and our 4x4 team got 2nd!

Ash Grove Meet: 4x2, 2 mile, 4x4

In the 4x2 I think that we either got 4th or 5th. In the 2 mile, I got 3rd place with a time of 13 minutes and 17 seconds, and our 4x4 team got first with a time of 4:21.

Our next meet is this Tuesday at home. I was informed that my events would be the 400, 800, 1 mile, and the 4x4.

Here are just a few pics of me from recently. I've been very busy lately... and not had time to blog. When school, and track start winding down, I will have more time to blog.

Just a few things, are that we have a track meet coming up this Tuesday in Strafford, and another on Thursday at home. Alex just started baseball this weekend, and they will start playing in a league here in a couple weeks. As things start getting busy again I will most likely not get around to the blog.

So I finally got some good pictures of Kitty 1 !!! Isn't he so cute, a little more serious looking than kitty 2, but still cute.

Grrr.... he's a Ferocious little thing.

This is how our afternoon has gone. We stayed after church for the fellowship dinner, then came home. (We slipped off the road and went down the lane). Then we came inside and Alex put a movie in. Now the whole family is sitting in the living room and watching Underdog.

Yesterday we went to Alex's basketball tournament. It was in Halfway, they played 3 games. They won the first two and then lost the last one in the championship game against Skyline by 10. It was an interesting game.

Here they are with their second place trophy. Lisa, Royce, Dante', Grant, Ryan, Colton, Daniel, Alex, Jacob, and Eli.

This was me yesterday after the tournament. We had a long day but it was Super fun. :)

The other news is that Court warming is on February 12Th. Also I'm going to prom, I got straight A's this last quarter, and our JV team has won our last 3 games in a row. This week we also have 2 more games. One on Monday against Marionville, and another on Thursday against Strafford at home. So a slow week again, our games for yesterday were canceled so I think we will go back sometime this week to play.

Lots of New NEWS!

First of all, I am the Freshman court warming candidate.

Second of all, We lost all 4 of our JV basketball games this week.

Third, We have lots of games coming up this next week.

Fourth, Alex has lots of games coming up.

Fifth, Charlie is coming to our house today for Christmas.

Sixth, I'm texting Leona.

Seventh, I went shopping with Leona, Bree, and Mom for a court warming dress and found a REALLY REALLY cute one, and matching shoes.

Eighth, I slept on the couch last night.

Ninth, I didn't want to get up this morning.

Tenth, We had a yummy lunch.... (better than spaghetti).

Eleventh, Charlie's stocking is sitting in the living room with gifts in it.

It's Brrrr.... Freezing outside today!!!

Idk..... lol. ( I started typing in texting words)

I don't know how cold it really is outside right now but it is darn cold!! I walked outside to feed the dog and water the cats and for the brief time that I was out there without gloves on my fingers turned numb. I thought that they wouldn't function ever again. They were so cold.

Today we didn't have school as you can see due to the FREEZING weather, our game was postponed, and our practice canceled. Also our basketball tournament was postponed.(was going to be this weekend)

I haven't done too much today just worked on a calendar. I made all the pages really cute. I will have to show you some pictures of it later.

The plans for today were simple as you can see and everything was followed out to perfection. You see now that it is 6 o'clock, I played in the snow, I went to practice, and now I'm sitting just thought I would get a good blog in before preparing for school tomorrow.

Right now the current status on my family is Alex and Dad at baseball practice, and Mom and Me here at home each of us with a computer. This has been a nice snow day and Bud really enjoyed being out and playing in the snow.

I have a few little things to say here.

It actually turns out that I was stressing and thinking and planing what I was going to wear to school tomorrow but we have a basketball game so I will be wearing my travel gear.... not anything new.

Also I was pleased to see that I already had 2 votes on my poll that I put up this afternoon. I had Mom vote too.

Playing in the snow was extremely fun. I was out there for maybe 15 minutes before I got too cold and came back inside. But it was really fun to play with Bud and get some sledding in. It seems like we never get to go sledding. I did some pretty cool tricks on my sled today... like I put Bud on the sled with me and we started going down the hill but he jumped off. Then I tried standing upright on the sled. That was fun, I stood up on the sled and went down the hill as far as I could then jumped off and rolled the rest of the way. Crashing is the most fun!
I love snow days too because you sleep in and have nothing to worry about. Just staying at home and relaxing. I was looking forward to school and our basketball game though. Which is rescheduled for tomorrow at the same time.
I have no idea what I'm going to wear to school tomorrow. I have so many cute new things I don't know what to pick. (this is what I stress about all day long)

Walking In A Winter Wonderland

Snow! Snow! Snow! Snow!

Tomorrow is our first SNOW day of the year!!! On one hand I'm excited to get to stay home another day. On the other hand I'm really actually ready to get back to school, routine, and my friends.

But tomorrow I'm hoping to be able to get outside and play in the snow for a while. We actually got quite a bit of snow, and I brought the air tubes upstairs so we could air em' up and take em' out tomorrow.

I have some pictures here of the snow at our house, and then some of my new haircut!!! :) I just made some collages because there were SO many pictures it was going to take forever!!!! Sorry. Hope that if you have a snow day tomorrow too you can enjoy it!!!

I HEART SHOPPING!!!!!!

Yesterday Mom and I went shopping!! It was so much fun and we found quite a few bargains. I did all of my shopping in Aeropostale. I got the two sweaters below and then two more with matching undershirts.
I got this sweater in Navy. Another one of the sweaters is a light blue and the other is more of a jacket. It is brown and fleece. Mom got a matching one too.... but it is a really pretty blue. The plans for the next few days are to to SHOP some more. We are going tomorrow after my basketball practice, and then spending the night in Mt.Vernon with GC so we can go back the next morning to shop some more.

We are going to have the best new years eve party with Grandma Charlie!! I don't really know any plans yet, but we discussed pizza and a movie. So I hope you all have a very fun and safe New Year! I'll hopefully see all of you guys around there sometime! :)

Today has been a wonderful DAY for Christmas! It was White and FUN! As you can see we did have a white Christmas, and it was so fun last night to run around in the ice. The cats and dog are I'm sure.... very very cold. This is the bottom.

ONLY 1 DAY UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!! WOOHOO!

So tonight is Christmas eve which we always celebrate by going to Grandma Kay's house for dinner and then to exchange gifts. This year we decided to do as we did last year and have all the cousins draw each other's names. I drew Jacob's name. I hope he doesn't read this before tonight. Anyways, so I have gotten him some cool presents and I'm very excited to give them to him. Tonight we also are going to our church's Christmas eve service that they have at church every year.

Also we did get to go shopping for Mom's Christmas present last night. I can't say what we got her yet, but hopefully I will be able to show you some pictures tomorrow. I just can't wait for Mom, Dad, and Alex to open the gifts I have for them. It's going to be SO fun. The only thing that could make Christmas any better is SNOW! I want it to snow really badly, we never ever get snow on Christmas, and it would be so fun if there would be snow. I remember on Christmas last year I went outside to feed the cats and there was NO snow... this year I want SNOW.

I have done quite a bit of decorating in my room this year for Christmas. I have my dresser that is filled with Santa's, and angels. My Christmas tree... loaded with ornaments and presents all around the bottom. A glass Christmas house that lights up, and then something else new this year.

I even decorated my window! I put Merry Christmas, and added a naughty and nice list to the bottom so Santa would know who to give more presents. :) Bud also made the naughty list this year... ha ha ha. Well that's about all for now :) I have been cleaning all day, Mom and Dad have been napping on and off, and Alex has just been playing video games and playing on the computer like normal. So I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas Eve, and A MERRY CHRISTMAS! I'll try very hard to post tomorrow. :) love, Rach.

Christmas Break

Merry Wednesday! Only 2 more days until CHRISTMAS!!! It's going to be great! I'm very excited this year for Christmas. I picked out really good gifts for my friends this year, and my family too. My friends and I every year at Christmas get gifts for each other. This year we decided to choose names. I had Bethany, and Bethany had me, so last Monday we exchanged gifts. Then I also got gifts for my 2 best friends Bree and Leona. I gave Leona her Christmas and Birthday gift this Sunday (her birthday is on New Year's eve). I will give Bree hers soon. I also have selected something really neat for Alex's Christmas present too. I can't wait to give it to him. Actually just this week he saw it wrapped and sitting under the tree in my room. So guess what he does? He walks over and puts his foot on the box and starts stepping down on it. When I screamed at him he goes... O so it's breakable. We were supposed to go shopping for Mom's Christmas present tonight but i don't know if we are going to... I don't feel well.

As you can see in the pictures above, Bud has had a good Christmas break.... making a mess out of a hay bale and using it as a bed on the porch.

This week has gone so quickly. I hope that you have a very good Christmas and that all of your Christmas shopping is done. :)

The Birth Of Jesus Christ

This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about : His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit. Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly. But after he had considered this an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, " Joseph son of David do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins." All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet." The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel" Which means, " God with us." When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.

The Visit of the Magi

After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, "Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him. " When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him. When he had called together all the people's chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Christ was to be born. "In Bethlehem in Judea," they replied, " for this is what the prophet has written: " But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rules of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will be the shepherd of my people Israel." Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared. He sent them to Bethlehem and said, "Go and make a careful search for the child. As soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship him." After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star they were overjoyed. On coming to the house they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense, and of myrrh. And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their home country by another route.

So Christmas is coming up very soon! I'm looking forward to it and then the long break that we have also. I'm hoping that we will have some snow!! Anyways.... today has been very relaxing and tonight at church we are having a youth Christmas gift exchange. :) Hope everyone has a good Sunday!!

Long Time No See

Hello! So a lot has happened between now and the last time that I posted. These pictures are pretty old. They are random things that have happened in the last few months. But I put them in the correct time order. This is Alex getting ready to play in one of his football games against Marionville. This was the regular season game, not the playoff game that they played against them.
Here he is again! He is really good at football. In the game against sarcoxie he had 4 touchdowns. He is SO fun to watch play football. They sadly lost this game, by six. These pictures are from our 2009 homecoming. This is one of my friends Bree, she was the freshman candidate.

Jumping forward some more to another day. I went to the creek and brought my camera along.

School right now is not really fun. In our geometry class I'm not really liking learning about proofs and slope and those sort of things. It's just not fun. My biology class is learning about DNA, genes, mutations, cancer, and other sorts of things along that line. Our American government class is learning about the Article's of Confederation and doing some studies on that. In Spanish we are learning more about describing people and families. P.E. is pretty much the same, play games and stretch. While in English we are reading short stories and poetry. Seventh hour in Art we are working on painting and have been drawing patriotic things and we will be painting them next week.

Besides school last week, basketball started. For me and Alex. We have been practicing every day and Alex practices a couple times a week. I know that Jacob and Drew have already played a couple games already. So it's going to start getting really busy. Well I think I will quit here for tonight. If I have time I will try and post again tomorrow!

Alex's Mighty Mite football team had a game tonight against Lockwood and our team came out on top 30 to 12. They did a really good job and Alex had two really good touchdowns, and an amazing block that let another kid score a touchdown. Besides that he got to play quarter back, running back, and tackle one of his friends on the other team. Two kids on Alex's baseball team were on that football team and it was weird for him to tackle the other kid. Well that's all I have for today. I'll try to blog tomorrow!!!

Monday- School, and then a softball game at home. We lost to Fairplay.
Tuesday- School and then supposed to be a softball game...and it rained out. We never got to play Dadeville.
Wednesday- School, and then districts in Ash Grove, we played Eldorado and lost by 3.
Thursday- TODAY!!!

Today has been really good I didn't have any homework and tomorrow I can only think of one class that I will. I'm SO excited. In Geometry we are learning about paragraph proofs. In Biology we are learning about cells and DNA and in American government we are covering the Missouri Constitution. In Spanish we are learning colors and clothing, and in English we have just finished the Oddessy and have moved on to short stories.

I really don't have anything to blog about today. So I will have to tell u more later.

TOMORROW is homecoming and the homecoming dance and football game and everything. Maybe some pictures or somethings.

So it's Sunday! Feels like Saturday but it's not.... wish it was Saturday but it's not. We have a pretty busy week ahead of us. Three maybe four softball games if we do well in districts. Monday we have Fairplay at home, Tuesday we have Dadeville away, and Wednesday we have Eldorado in AshGrove for Districts. On top of this Friday is homecoming and after the game is the homecoming dance.

But the cutest thing ever is what I'm about to tell you. Yadi has been a darling little kitty and been sitting out on the deck all day long and I brought him in just a few moments ago and now I have the computer on my lap and he is under the computer and between my legs.... burrowed in there like a fort. (Hence the title of this post... kitty hangout). He is so adorable!

Back tracking.... so this coming week is also spirit week!

Monday- PJ day.
Tuesday- Hippie Day.
Wednesday- Class color day.
Thursday- Celebrity day.
Friday- Black out day.

So everyone is very excited... and Bree because she is the homecoming princess for the Freshman. She is going to look really pretty! (Yadi is asleep now and I SO want to take a picture!)

Last night Alex's game was pretty good. Alex scored 2 touchdowns. But 1 of them unfortunately didn't count because a flag was thrown and they had to bring the ball back. They didn't lose too badly tough... it was 6 16 final. After the game we got to go to Charlie's house and eat dinner. It was really fun. We also received 2 more cats last night... a grey one and a black and white one. They were let out this morning and have been running around all day and I haven't seen them. But they are out there somewhere... I think. But anyways this morning we went to church and Sunday school and afterwards I went to Steve and Donis's house with the youth for lunch and played Taboo. It was really fun. Right now I'm going to blog and relax and lay around.

I'll try and blog this week.... if I can squeeze it in!!

Hello! It has been a while since I've done an actual post. So here it goes...

Today we were supposed to have a softball game... but as you can tell by the pictures below it didn't happen.

It rained and rained, and rained some more... and is still raining and is supposed to all week. Bud wanted out so bad but it was pouring at this point. The game we were going to play was against Morrisville at home... the field was so far under water that we aren't even having practice either. The rest of my day was pretty good though... first hour in geometry we are starting chapter 2 and learning about patterns and stuff like that. I had some homework but got it done in advisory. Second hour in Biology we watched a movie that was pretty good... on the jungle. We are learning the parts of cells and DNA and weird wacky stuff. Third hour was American Government which we are studying for our BIG constitution test that is tomorrow. It is required by the state that we have to pass it, or retake the course. So I'm hoping I do well... it's not really hard information. Fourth hour is Spanish (which is SO confusing) and we had a quiz that was pretty hard. I don't know how well I did.... (ooops) but that's ok. Next was lunch and advisory where I got brownies from Bree and tomorrow we are getting candy bars from our advisory teacher. Fifth hour was P.E. where we played ping pong. It was pretty fun... then sixth hour in English we finished watching " Brother Where Art Thou" which was a really good and funny movie. In Seventh hour art we found out that the game was canceled and that there would be no practice. We had a sub that hour too so we just messed around the whole hour. After school it was SO nice to just go to my moms room and go right home. It is rainy and cold outside so im under the warm cover's blogging. I'm texting Leona... listening to music and taking short breaks and reading out of my book. It is SO nice. I have one more thing to say before I leave...

First Day of school and More

Hello... it has been a while since I blogged. I thought I would give you a quick update on how school has been going. On the first day which was Thursday we didn't go to regular classes. We had an assembly in the morning and then were in and out of advisory all day going to meetings and drills. So the day was pretty much just a fun day. (first day of school pictures to come)

Then on Friday It was super boring in every class we had to read a syllabus and then go over all the rules. We had to take some pre-tests in some classes and in 1 class we had homework. Which I will have to do tomorrow. But here is how my schedule goes...

Geometry- with Mrs. Ray
Biology- with Coach Bolte
American Government- with Mrs. Walker
Spanish- with Coach Shipps
P.E.- with Coach Driscoll
English- with Mrs. Whitsell
Art- with Mrs. Sloan

That is my day pretty much... leaving out lunch and advisory. I have those two classes before P.E. I like most of my classes and high school has been pretty fun/boring. At least for the last few days. But I'm sure it will get better. I also am enjoying softball.

Alex has Mrs. Pirtle as a homeroom teacher and several other teachers as well. I think he likes school fairly well too. Jacob has Mrs. Manring, Drew has Mrs.Rutledge, and Tate has Mrs. Shuler. I don't know how much they are liking school... but I know that I don't want to go! Summer needs to last a lot longer.

Today we went to Springfield and had a good time looking at things together and being with Family.

We haven't done too much this week. On Monday I spent the whole day putting my blog together. Gettting pictures and things uploaded, and then yesterday I went to work with Papa. I went back into town later and Papa hit me some pop flies and ground balls.

Last night Dad, Alex, Papa, David, Jake, and Drew all went to a tryout for a baseball team. Which I'm guessing went well. While the boys were there all of us girls went to Bongo's for dinner, and then out to Jill's house to play spoons. It was really fun.

We didn't get home until late, and the boys didn't either. This morning I slept in until pretty late, and later we will have to go to the school and register. I don't want to think about school. So after we do that we will proboably coming home and cleaning house. Then tonight I'm going to a friends house to spend the night. I'm pretty excited.

Also this week I will hopefully be getting a new cat. Mom will hopefully be calling and finding out some information. I'm very excited because we haven't had a cat for much of the the end of this summer. It's going to be weird to have a new kitten! We haven't had one since last fall.

Well I guess I will inform you later about the cat, party, and anything else.

Vacation Part 3... the End.

Vacation Part 2

Hey! Here is part two of our vacation. I still will have to post part three later.... and another for Grandma Marie's 100th birthday!!! But here is how our vacation went...As you may or may not know Mom had to take a trip to the emergency room for her kidney stones. She got some pain medicine and passed it the next morning. She is fine now and has been drinking lots of water.

Of course this isn't the real thing. We went back to the hospital to act it out.

Destin Florida....

Hello... and welcome to Wheeler 411 from Destin Florida!

The Wheeler Family is on vacation this week. I'm sorry about not having time to blog about Grandma Marie's 100th birthday party, I will do that as soon as we get back. But for this week I will be trying to keep our 2009 vacation up to date. Here is how our trip has gone so far.

Monday morning we woke up bright and early and met the Gable's family in town so we could follow them to Alabama. It was a pretty long trip but we were able to watch movies on the TV and the boys played play station. We followed Kenney and Jenni back to their home where we spent the night. We had a very good time and had a good time with K.C. KC!!!Here was Alex during the car ride this afternoon to Destin! The Gulf of Mexico is in the background. We liked looking at all the palm trees and big buildings.
After we got checked in and settled into the hotel we went right to the beach. We had the best time! The sand was SO pretty and white, and the water tastes horrible. But tomorrow I will bring my goggles so that it doesn't get in my eyes.

Hello there! HAPPY 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY WHEELER 411! It has been 1 year since I have had my blog, and I can't believe it. Here is my first post!

It's July, Wednesday 23 and we are back from our trip to the USSSA AA World Series. We had lots of fun on our trip. The boys did very well, they got 16th over all, and were 4-3. My brother is catcher and he caught most of the games. My cousin is also on this team and he plays second base mainly. Some of their big accomplishments at the World Series were that they beat the number two team in state. They also beat three other teams that all had tryouts for this season and had over 100 kids come out. They only lost to the Missouri state champions and to the number 1 seed in the championship bracket. They made it to the championship bracket and had many great plays against some very good teams. These teams came from all around the Midwest and other areas. The boys had a very good experience, they had the opportunity to show lots of people throughout the week that they are Christians. At the end of the trip we all were sad to be leaving. Next year we will see each other again.Tonight we will be celebrating Sweet Marie's 99th birthday party!Mom has made a cake and we all are very excited. In the month of July we have around 7 birthdays so this is a big month. Sweet Marie is 99 and Tater Bug is 5. While we were at the World Series Tater Bug had a birthday party. He and one of his friends , Gavin, celebrated their birthdays. But another great thing about having Sweet Marie's birthday tonight is that the Gable's and Pauletta are here. Yesterday we got to visit and have a great time together and tonight I'm sure we will do the same. Happy Birthday!!!

It is amazing how much different I type now. I like to look back through my archive and see all of the things that have gone on during this year.

What Is Going on With the Wheeler's?

Hello! It has been a while since I last blogged!

I have been super busy though. I don't have any pictures sadly, and really my last few days haven't been to interesting. But I thought I would go ahead and tell you a little about what has been going on in the Wheeler home.

Sunday- We went to church, and afterwards went to Kay's to watch the softball world cup. We had lunch there and then came home after the game. I finished my 2008 world series scrapbook for the boys.
Monday- I had softball camp from 8-10. After camp I came home and took a shower, had lunch and we went to buy makeup. I had a doctor's appointment at 3, so we went straight there. Which we found out that it was just allergies like we thought. Then we went and picked out movies, I got Bride Wars and Alex got Taken. Which both turned out to be really good. We came home and I watched Bride Wars. Then we had softball camp again from 6-9. We made it about 1/2 way through and it started storming so we had to leave. But since it ended short I was able to go to a baby shower. When we came home all 4 of us were in mom's bed watching Taken.
Tuesday- I had softball camp again from 8-10. After camp I went to Kay's and went with her, Pauletta, mom, and Stephanie to Springfield. We shopped around for food and birthday stuff. I also got a really cute dress to wear on Saturday from Maurices. When we got back I had something to eat and relaxed a while before I had to go to softball camp.
Wednesday- TODAY! I had softball camp from 8-10. Then I came home and watched a movie, did some laundry, took a shower, cleaned my room, and took a nice long nap. When I woke up I had dinner and then have been doing more laundry and just sitting around. Since it was Wednesday and we had youth (which I missed due to the fact that we didn't have dinner until close to 7) we didn't have softball camp. It was nice to have time to relax. So tomorrow will be Wheeler 411's 1 year anniversary. I cannot believe that it has been a whole year. So I will try to post tomorrow after camp. I have lots to do in order to get ready for our vacation that is coming up. This weekend is going to be extremely busy.

P.S. The Stockton Cardinal's got 13th place in the USSSA AA World Series. The teams that beat us got 2nd place, 4th place, and 6th place.

USSSA AA 11U World Series

As you already know Alex's baseball team, Stockton Cardinals, went to the USSSA AA 11U World Series this week. They did a great job, the tournament is still going on but know that we placed somewhere between 13th and 16th. Alex had a great tournament, and their team had 4 wins and 3 losses. All 3 teams that we lost too were still in the tournament as far as yesterday. My pictures are a little out of order but I will try my very best to get things right. When we got to Branson we were more than impressed with the condo that Papa and Kay were going to be staying in. It was spacious and had enough beds for all of us to stay there. Kay, Papa, Dad, Mom, Me, Alex, Stephanie, David, Pauletta, Jacob, Drew, Tate, and Charlie all at some point stayed in the condo. As you can see from the picture above it was decorated very well and expensively.
We did a lot of sitting around watching TV, shopping, playing cards, and having a good time in the condo. It was large enough for mom and me to watch CSI in the bedroom, Charlie to watch HGTV, the boys to play video games, and Papa to watch ball games.

We even had our own little watch dog out front. It is definitely some place that we will want to come back to.

Alex and Jacob played very hard during the world series. At nights Alex, Me, and Jacob would sleep in the big comfy bed.

One night even us girls all got together and played phase 10.

Tate spent a lot of time playing Go Fish. One morning I played with him, and I know that several other people played with him too.

All the boys managed to find the flat screen TV, within the first 10 minutes of being at the condo.

After we saw the condo we went back to the ball field to watch the parade. All the teams went through with their banners. This is our team's.

Like I said... all of my games and pictures are very mixed up. So I will have the story in order but the pictures are scattered. So that night we went back to the condo to swim. They had a very nice indoor pool that was very cold. This also was the night that I fell and twisted my ankle at the ball field because of a stupid drain. But anyways...we went to sleep that night and were able to sleep in. Our first game wasn't until 4 on Monday. We played the Louisiana Crawlers. They were the second seed in the tournament, but we came out on top with a final score of 13 to 1. Our hitting was great, and Eli pitched a really good game. Everyone got a hit or on base, and Jake Byrnes had the most awesome diving catch in center field. They had several pick offs and Alex threw some kids out from behind the plate.

Alex also got to play 1st base. He played 4 positions in the whole tournament. Pitcher, Catcher, short stop, and 1st base. Not all at the same time of course. He did well in all of these places.

In the second game they played against the Blue Valley Longhorns from Texas. This team too was a good team, and we came out on top 11 to 2. Colton pitched a good game, and this was also a very special game for him and his brother because in one of the innings their mom had her baby. She had been in labor all day and Cannon Brinnton was born during the game. Once the boys heard the news they all seemed to play so much better. They all livened up and were hitting and playing great defence. Above is Jake Byrnes in the batters box.

They had 2 games that night though. So between games they went to McDonald's for some dinner. ( I have some pictures from there). Here is Jacob leading off of second base.

In their second game on Tuesday they played the Lebanon Yellow Jackets. This is a team that we play alot in tournaments. They are a very good team, with hitting, pitching, and defense. Alex pitched very well and our team had several errors in the field. We also were having a hard time getting hits. One of the most memorable things about this game was a kid from the other team hit a hard line drive back at Alex and he caught it just before it hit him. It was so quick we didn't even see it. It was all sound from bat to glove. Alex was very surprised and said later that he thought he was going to die. We only lost by 2 runs, 4 to 2. But since we had 2 wins we automatically made it to the championship bracket.

The next morning we had to wake up early and play at 9 o'clock, against the Mid-West A's. This team was seeded lower than us, but we have played them many times before and have lost to them. They played very well, Eli pitched a good game, allowing 3 runs. Alex played short stop, and had some good hits. The whole team hit exceptionally well. They again pulled through and won 9 to 3. Above is Dylan waiting for his turn to hit.

This is Alex swinging, and I'm almost 100% sure that he got a base hit. This was against the L.A. Crawlers.

Like I said, we spent a lot of time just hanging around in the condo. But after our morning game on Wednesday we went out to eat for lunch and then came back to the field for another game against the Bobcats, from Branson. They were also a very good team who could hit the ball very well. Colton started the game and pitched well but the other team scored by getting lots of good hits. Ryan came in later to pitch but the other team just hit very well and kept scoring. Alex got hit by the other team 2 times, once in the knee, and once in the hand. He only was hit, and didn't do any of the hitting. He also caught the whole game. They sadly couldn't come back, and lost 5 to 8. But like I said this team is very good and is still going on in the tournament.

Alex loves catching, and I love this picture. It was a ball but he just held his glove like that for a whole second, like he was trying to get the umpire to change his mind. This was against the L.A. Crawler's.

After our loss to the Bobcats we went back to the condo. This was me during the Bobcat's game. I was very tired and hot, but glad to be in our luxurious condo once again. We had dinner at the condo and went to bed because we were scheduled to have our game at 9 o'clock the next morning. Luckily it rained that night and there was a rain delay on the game. So it was pushed back to 11. Above is Ryan, standing in the batter's box. He had a very nice hit in our game against the L.A. Crawler's that hit the fence in center feild. Which is two hundred and twenty feet. If it would of had a little more it so would have been a homerun. We watched lots of homeruns this week.

So our game that was scheduled for nine, we played at 11. It was against the Conway Cats from Arkansas. In this game Alex pitched, and Colton caught. The first pitch of the game was a double, going over the left fielder's head and hitting the bottom of the fence. The next batter hit the ball to short stop, where Jake Byrnes threw him out at first. But the runner advanced to third. Alex tried to pick him off, and the ball got passed the third baseman. He came in and scored. Alex pitched an awesome game, 5 innings. He wasn't the only reason that the game was 1 to 0 in the 6th inning. His defense did a spectacular job of backing him up. The Conway Cats had a total of 13 runners left on base. Connor had several good plays from 2nd base, and Jake Byrnes had an awesome diving catch at short stop. There had a horrible time hitting though, with only 2 baserunners in 5 innings. They held them again in the 6th, and all they needed to do was score 1 to tie and 1 to win. Alex came up to bat and hit a solid base hit to right field. Dyaln was up next, and walked, moving Alex to second. The catcher missed the ball and both the runners advanced. Colton was up next, and all we needed was a base hit, there were 0 outs. Colton hit the ball and it bounced over the short stops head, easliy scoring Alex, and Dylan was coming too. The center fielder picked up the ball and hesitated. Giving Dylan just enough time to come in easy. The game was over and we won 2 to 1. That was by far the most exciting and overwhelming game. This I think was everyone's favorite memory of the week.

After this game we went out to eat at K.F.C. and came back for our next game at 3. We then played the Oklahoma Rockhounds. They were also a team that could hit the ball. Jake Byrnes and Ryan pitched for us. Our boys you could tell were very tired, the other team scored 11 runs. We on the other hand came out with 1. So our week was ended there, but they played very hard. Alex's favorite part of this last game was when one of the players from the Rockhounds was thrown out of the game. There was a force out at home, Alex caught the ball and got him out, but then the kid slid and Alex tripped over his legs while trying get out of the way. The umpire thought that the kid intentionally tripped Alex, and made him sit the rest of the game.

After the last game all the parents told the boys how proud they were of them and we went our seperate ways.

Except for the Wheeler's who went back to the condo for some birthday cake and ice cream. It was also Tate's 6th birthday! Happy Birthday Tate! He got to open som presents and we all had some yummy desert. The boys all went to the pool for the last time, while me and mom watched U.S.A softball and CSI. Stephanie and the boys left at around 9 that evening, while me, mom, Alex, and Charlie stayed at the condo. A little whil later we all got ready and went.......

MINI GOLFING!!! It is tradition that every year we always go mini golfing on vacation. Last year at the world series we went too. So this year since there was a mini golf cource right across from our condo we decided to go. It was a dinousaur theme, and had a volcano that shot out real fire! Here is Charlie!

This is Papa, he had like 3 hole in ones. He also won, with a score of 49. I had 55, Alex and Kay had 57, and Charlie had 59.

Alex had a good time golfing. He made things interesting by always trying to go the hardest way or the long way.

We were very sad to be leaving our pretty and cozy condo. But we were also very excited to be going home finally. Here we are sitting and enjoying our last few moments in our home away from home.

Of course even though the Cardinal's were done with baseball... other teams weren't. So after making a quick stop at MC sports, Maurices, and Shoe Carnival, we went to Rec Plex one more time to watch some games. Mom picked out a few more pictures to buy, and Alex went and watched some games. When mom finished paying for the pictures they weren't taking money at the gate anymore, so we went in to watch the end of a few games. We saw the Lebanon Yellow Jackets, who beat us, lose to the Bobcats, who also beat us. Then we watched a game that looked similar to ours against the Cats. It was 1 to 1 in the bottom of the 7th inning, a kid hit a base hit. Then the next kid hit a pop up but the short stop missed it and the runners were safe at 1 and 2. The next kid at bat hit a base hit to left feild and scored the runner on 2nd base. There crowd was wild, and it was a good game. That was between the Twin City Outlaws, and the Texas Sliders. The other game we wound up watching was between the Mid-MO Warriors, and the L.A. Lions. The Warriors won 8 to 5, thanks to a kid who hit a 3 run home run.

After the games we just couldn't leave Branson without going to eat at Steak n' Shake. Here is Alex and Me waiting for our food. It was really good and a relaxing day. We were SO glad to be home and sleep in our own beds. This was a really fun week that we will never forget.

Today I got up super early and went with my youth group to some river somewhere to go canoeing. It was really fun... but 4 hours made my legs, arms, and everything else hurt. I'm super sun burned and my body hurts. Then after we got home 30 minutes later I had to be at a softball game. The varsity lost the first game and we lost the second game. I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo tired and achey. I want to go to bed. I'll finish this later. Bye.

YEA! This is post number 400! But I just wanted to give you a quick update on my day. I went to work this morning with Papa and we cleaned some carpet in a house. Then I came home and had lunch with dad. I stayed at home the rest of the day playing spoons with Alex and Jacob and texting. Then at 4:30 I went up to the ball field for our games. The first one at 5, I played and we won. In the second game I didn't play and our team won. In the third game I played 1/2 the time and we won. They all were good games and I'm very glad that we won. Our next games are on Thursday and those will be our last ones. I'm soooo tired! Have a good night! I'm going to bed!!!

Hey..... well today has been very fun and pretty relaxing. I got up this morning and went to work. We had a job in Bolivar, it wasn't too big. The cool thing was that I found this ring that belonged to the owner of the house and she gave me 5 dollars. After we finished we went to Grandma Billye's an d ate lunch. We headed home after that and I fell asleep. I went in the store and took an even longer nap. At 5 we came home and I got ready for softball practice. I had some chicken nuggets and then we went. After practice I wen to the pool and swam with Bree and Leona!!!!! It was really fun! Now we are home and I'm ready for BED!!!

.... is one of my best friends. She is funny, and sarcastic. She loves orange, cupcakes, her dog Flip, puddle jumping, texting, and playing with Porter. She hates cats, and muffins. She wants to be an actress or a teacher when she grows up.... depending on which one happens first. She has 5 sisters and 1 brother, and lots of cousins. She is nice to everyone and did I mention funny. Stars are her favorite shape, and of course we both LOVE mac and cheese. She lives on the same highway as I do, and we both have dogs. She always cheers for me, and talks to me in American history. We are in the same youth group, and we love to have a good time. She sings, reads, and writes. Leona is a very good friend.

100, 300, 400!!!

So I guess you're wondering what the numbers mean, and I have an explanation... I will explain at the end. Ha. These were the two things that I helped me yesterday. Caladryl and a bug off candle. We had a million bug bites after going through all those cemeteries.

400 is for the number of posts I have. ( well not yet, I am at 397, so 3 more and I will have blogged 400 times!)

That is what the numbers are for. They are just important numbers that I would inform you of. So we haven't done much today besides church. We went to Chong Lee's and then came home and I walked Bud. Now I'm sitting and doing nothing. Have a good afternoon!!!!!

Friday was a fun day full of site seeing and being with family. Here are some pictures of our day.This is the cemetery that we went to where grandma Charlie's grandma and grandpa are buried.

Cleaning Away!

I've gotten a lot of work done today in my room. I went through all of my drawers and got rid of everything that doesn't fit anymore. That was fun. Then I organized what I was going to keep and straightened up my room. I still need to vacuum and dust but that can wait. This morning I slept in late and then played on the computer for a while. Then I went and cleaned. After I finished cleaning Mom and I went and picked up Alex from the pool. Now we are here at home and I'm gonna blog and then eat some yummy supper. After supper Alex has baseball practice and I'm going to walk with Mom and Jill. This time I hope I can keep that cute kitty. If he follows us again. Have a good day!!!

Relaxing Day #1

Ahhhh.... It feels so good to just be at home. Today we didn't do anything at all. Well... I did do a few things. I slept in until 9:30 and have done some stuff on the computer. We had corn dogs for lunch and then I cleaned and did laundry. At 4 or so we went over to Kay's house and watched some TV. When we came home we found that I had softball practice at 6. So I went to that for an hour and then went to youth. It was really good, we played basketball. After youth I went home and we changed into our swimming suits to go to the pool. It was really fun. We had a whole bunch of people there so we were able to play lots of fun games and do things. It was around 10:30 I think before we got home. Then I showered, while mom made me some dinner. After dinner I folded some laundry, put it away and now I'm blogging!!! I'm SO tired. It is almost mid-night. Ahhh... well see you in the morning. Hope you have a nice relaxing day too. Relaxing day #2. Ha Ha.

Summer Fashion Favorites!!! Busy Day #28,29,and the last... #30!

So I'm finally getting to blog... but it's a good thing that I waited. While we were on our basketball trip I found a new bathing suit at the mall. Here is my new swim suit upgrade...This was my bathing suit before, and this is my new one. I got it at Justice, they had a lot of cute things on sale. This was the cutest one on the rack! I'm so excited to go swimming, and wear it!!

To continue my summer fashion favorites... Here is a cute outfit that I wore Sunday!!
These are my CUTE shoes that grandma Kay gave me. They didn't quite make it in the picture, and they go really well with this outfit.

Here is my cute skirt ( from who knows where) and my cute shirt from Aeropostale'. I really liked this outfit. And since I didn't tell you about Sunday since I was busy I thought I would do that now. After Sunday school, and church we came home I got Bud out and he played, while mom mowed the yard, and I washed the van. It felt SO good. It was cold and the van looks shiny. After I finished all of that It was almost time to go to youth. So we had dinner and then headed to church. Youth was SO fun because a bunch of my friends were there. We did this really cool activity. After youth it was our Sunday to have nursery. So we had Emily and Lucas. It was fun, and after church we went to the baseball field to watch Alex's practice. It was really fun because we went on a walk with Jill. As we were walking past this house a little kitten started following us, and It was SOOOOOOOOOOO CUTE! It was maybe the cutest cat I'd ever seen. It followed and followed and followed, and finally Mom let me pick it up and we carried it back up to the field. Once we were there everyone wanted to know where he came from and why I had him. Everyone petted him too. After practice Jill ran me back by the area the cat started following us and we dropped him off. I was sad, but we did the right thing I do believe. When we we came home from practice I started packing and getting ready for Drury basketball camp!

This is one of my favorite pairs of flip flops. They are from Old Navy, and are very comfortable.

I love this new purse that I got. While we were at the state tournament last weekend we went to JC Penny and I found this cute bag on sale for 20$. I was so excited!

Here are some of my shirts that I like. This is a new one that I got a few weeks ago. It is really cute and goes with this one pair of shorts really well.

This is also a shirt that I got for my birthday. It is cool and very comfortable.

I also like this pink shirt from American Eagle. Bree gave me this for my birthday last year.

Here is another outfit that I just pieced together last week. I have been looking for a shirt to go with these Bermudas and this tank top goes good. It too is very comfortable and flexible.

I LOVE this outfit, I got these shorts from JC Penny last summer and I wear them alot. I think I got this shirt from Bree too.

This was me Sunday night before youth. So now I guess I should tell you about our Drury basketball camp! We had a really good time... we won 4 and lost 3. Monday we played a game early in the morning against Glendale and lost. Then we had another game shortly after, against Central and won. We had a lunch break after game #2 at Subway. Then we had another game around 1 o'clock and lost against Central's varsity. They were good and had some big girls. Then in the fourth game we played at 3 something and lost against Republic. They were really good too, and we were really tired. After we finished our fourth game we went to the hotel that we were staying at.... Lamplighter Inn, settled in then went swimming.

It was SO hot and the pool felt SOOO good. This is Kelsie, Josie, Bree, Gina and Me. We had a good time swimming and then relaxing in the hot tub. We came back to the room and got changed up, and headed out to dinner. We chose Mexican villa, and it was yummy! But I got a really bad stomach ache afterwards. It cleared up though after we went to the mall. While we were at the mall is where I found my bathing suit. We did a lot of just looking around and browsing. After the mall we went to Cold Stone Creamery and got ice cream. It was really good and felt nice to be outside. After we finished up with the ice cream we went to Wal-Mart. While we were there we did some fun stuff while the adults shopped. When we finally finished up there we went back to the hotel to clean up and go to bed.

This morning we got up and went to breakfast were I had a waffle. We got all packed up and ready to go, then had a group picture before we left. This is our team. From L to R : Allie, Gina, Kelsi, me, Bree, Josie, Ashley, Coach, and Garret.

I don't have any idea what any of these pictures are of, but I thought I would post them anyways. In our first game against Rogersville we won by 6. Our game was at 10:50.

Then we had a long break until 3:50. So we went back to the mall and had lunch at Chick-fil-a. After lunch we went around the mall some more. I bought ring and a gumball with my leftover change. We met back up with the adults later and we went back to Drury. Our second game we played against Nixa 2, and won by several points. We played Nixa 1 in the third game, and also won by several points. There was only one game between game#2 and game#3.

After the game we headed out and went to Wal-Mart again, except this time it was just Mom, Me, Tracey, and Bree. While Mom was looking at curtain stuff Bree and I decided to sit and rest in some rocker chairs. They were really comfortable and let us have a place to sit and relax.

Now one more thing that I thought I would show you... as it is one of my favorite summertime things. Is my bath and body works body spray. This is the best smell too. Pink Grapefruit. I love it and after stinking so bad from all this sweat. It smelled really good.

Busy Day #27

Hey! Today has been so relaxing. Grandma Charlie is here and we have been looking at scapbooks, watching movies, and talking about our family reunion. I just thought I would give a quick update before I continue to help mom pick out pictures. Have a good day.

PS. These are the movies that we have been watching all week long. Today we watched Radio and The Pink Panther 2. They both are good movies.

Busy Day #26

Hello! How is every one's day been so far!!?? I haven't done anything. So far, I have washed my face, brushed my teeth, folded and put away 2 loads of laundry, checked my email, and talk to my friends. So very relaxing. I didn't tell you about last night though and how we went to the pool and swam. Stephanie and the boys went along with me, mom, and Leona. YEAH! It was really fun. Also yesterday I took some pictures of Skit. I thought that they were really cute. For the rest of the day I'm going to relax and then at 3 we have softball practice. Have a good day!!!

Busy day #24 and 25

So yesterday... well I didn't do too much and I felt very tired and sluggish all day. I went to weights in the morning then I went to Kay's house and napped, and watched TV, then napped, then watched TV. When I woke up from another one of my naps and Mom was here ready to go. So I went home and needed to get ready for softball practice. But before that I got Bud out and he was running around. 30 minutes before practice was supposed to start it started pouring. It was raining SO hard. We couldn't find Bud and when we finally did he followed us home and I ran as fast as I could to put him up. But it was too late... I was completely soaked by the time I got back to the van. We went ahead and checked to make sure we weren't having practice even though it was obvious that we couldn't. So we went and picked up Alex from Kay's. Then we came home and watched some movies. But the best part was in the middle of Mall Cop I looked out the window and there was Skit!!!! We haven't seen him in 2 weeks and then last night he was crying... so I fed him and petted him. That was the best thing that happened all day. After the movie ended I went to bed. This morning I got up early again to go to weights. After weights I came here to Kay's and watched some TV then took a nap, and now I'm up blogging, and just had an ice cream sandwich. It was yummy. I think that we are going to get another night to just be at home. Alex is going to a Springfield Cardinal's game with the school tonight, and won't be home until LATE. Busy Day #22 and 23

Hello there!

Well yesterday was very fun and exciting... and you'll never believe what happened!It is horrible...

I left my camera at home!!!

This is a first, and I am very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very SAD. :(

We went to a Springfield Cardinal's game last night. Mom, Dad, Alex, and Me, and you'd never believe where we were sitting! And you may never believe because I didn't have a camera to show you. We were sitting right behind the plate, on the fourth row. Right there, you could see everything... and when a foul ball came back it looked like it was coming right at you. I was VERY sad to find that I left my camera at home... so all of my pictures are on my phone. I texted a picture of the field from our seats to Charlie. I don't know if she got it. But that was really the only news from yesterday and there isn't too much news from today. We got home very late last night and we slept right through weights. I was actually kinda glad because I really didn't want to get up. So I slept in until.... well... around 11:30 or 45. I don't know for sure I was still sleepy. But I got up and was on the computer, then started a load of laundry. It actually just got done... one second.

Okay I'm back. We are almost our of dryer sheets. I had to text mom and tell her. I took a shower and got dressed and brushed my teeth, then I decided to blog. Also yesterday was Gina's birthday! So I thought I would say HAPPY BIRTHDAY GINA! Well.. I should be going now! Love -Rach :)

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!

So we are finally home from the state baseball tournament. I was actually kinda sad that we had to go... but I was getting a little home sick too.We lost our game to the Bombers. In the tournament we went 2 and 2. Which was really good because we were in a really good pool. We beat the Yellow Jackets which was really good. Well it's not all wordless because I want to tell you that we won our game last night in the state tournament, 12 to 6. The team we played was really good. So we made it to bracket play and we will play tonight at 4. I'm not for sure but I think that our team got a pretty good seed.

Busy Day #16 and 17... the storm!

Hey... I haven't got to blog in a while because we've had no power. The only big thing that has happened the last couple days was this big storm that came in on Tuesday morning at around 5:45. We were all asleep and apparently Papa called to tell dad that the sirens were going off. So we went to the basement, and I would have been getting up soon anyways. As we were going down stairs is started to hail, and it kept hailing for a really long time. When it was all over there were mounds of hail sitting everywhere. The power went out too, and we didn't get it back until this afternoon. So we have been living at Kay and Papa's house for the last two days. This is the bottom. See all the grass, how pushed down it is... well that is where the water was running through our yard. This is the front of our house.There are leaves plastered everywhere on it.
Poor Bud was scared... and we let him out to re-mark all of his territory that was destroyed.

This is me... tired from getting up so early, then falling back asleep, and then getting up and playing with a crazy muddy dog.

This is a hole that was left from one of the tees that was uprooted by our drive way.

Here is the tree, it's really cool looking but not good. Not good at all.

Here is Bud. The water here was across the road, it was just flowing right over it. Bud was being so funny. It was really windy and the leaves were just flying off the trees. Every time he would see one fall, he would run off and chase it. He was really cute.

Just one more picture of the big tree. It is really bad at our house. There are trees down all over the place. I thought I would show you the reason I've had no time to blog.

Well today has been really relaxing. I went to weights this morning. Then I went to Kay's, and took a three hour nap. After my nap I watched TV and just hung around the house until Mom got home. I started doing laundry and folding and putting away clothes after we found we had power again. That's what I've been doing the whole night. Putting clothes in the washer then switching to the dryer, folding and then putting away. It isn't that hard, and actually kind of fun. Maybe just every once in a while. I wonder how many loads I've done??? 5 or 6???

Well I won't be home to blog for the next couple days and maybe more. We are going to Alex's state baseball tournament in Columbia. It is going to be a long drive. But we are staying in a hotel, and will get to swim, play and hopefully watch some good baseball games. I will take lots of pictures and make sure to post them when I get back. Hey! Today has been SO good already. If you didn't already know we won the championship. We were undefeated this week. We got a plaque for winning, and then we all got a shirt that says champions on the back. It was a really fun four days but I'm tired! So for the rest of today I'm going to just hang around the house until Alex's baseball game tonight. So... I don't have the pictures downloaded yet. If I find some time and energy I will post them. Day #11 and 12... I think!

So as you know I have been at S.B.U. team camp Wednesday through Saturday. I'm getting my days SO mixed up. It seems like no time has passed and I've been living in the lobby of a college.

Our team has been doing really good. We are undefeated, and if we win tomorrow morning then we will be in the championship game. Which whatever team we play would have to beat us twice. I think we should be able to win tomorrow, we are playing this team from Dixon. They are supposedly all middle school kids. But they are really good. They only lost to us by like 5. So we are definitely going to have to play good tomorrow morning to make it to the championship, and we may even play Dixon again if they come up through the losers bracket. I will definitely post to tell you what happened tomorrow.
If you're wondering what this picture above is, well it's me this morning before we left for camp. I was really tired, and you can't tell in any of these pictures, but my eye (under it) is swollen and is blue and purple. I was some how behind a big post girl and she came back really hard and hit me in the face. So now I have a nice sore spot under my eye. It's my right one, you can tell it is puffier.

This is me this afternoon when we got home from our last game. Well I took a shower before this picture.

Our schedule today was really crazy. We had our first game at 9 o'clock, and we were going to play again at 1. But we had a by for that game so we sat for 5 hours waiting for our next game. It was at 3:30, and was against South Callaway. During our down time we all went with Tracey on a quick trip to Maurice's, and then back to campus for lunch. The lunch today was pretty good. I had a sandwich, chips and salsa, and some ice cream. It was all very delicious. Yesterday was very hectic too, except we played a ton more. Yesterday we had 5 games. WOW I know! We had one in the morning, then we sat one played one, then we had lunch. When we came back we played two back to back. Then we had a long 3 hour break and played again at like 7:45. I'm really tired, even though we didn't hardly even play today.

Busy Day #10 - Busy hasn't happened yet.

We got home from our basketball game just a while ago. We won our game 19 to 9. I made two points at the end of the game. We got to play on the full court... the college court. It was a lot bigger than our little court. It was pretty fun, in the middle right before the second half we had to all leave and go to the hallway because they were under a tornado warning. So we had an extra long half time. The power went out and everything. After the game we stopped and I got a Snickers. Then we came home, I played with Bud, and then took a shower. Now I'm blogging and will eat soon and then go to bed. I will have to get up pretty early in the morning because our first game is at 9. I'm not sure how many games we play but I'm sure it will be somewhere around 4 or 5. So there will be no post tomorrow I would believe. Have a nice evening!!

I said that I was going to show you my very cool pen collection. So here it is. This first row has the biggest ones on it. There is a yellow one, a St. Patrick's day, a curly purple one, a road runner one, and a star one.

This row of pens has two pens that look a like but are different colors, then a crown pen, another purple and then a mickey mouse pen.

There are some pencil and some pens. The first one is in the shape of a squirrel, then next pencil has lips, a fiesta pen that is a maraca, the next pen is a flash light pen, and the last one is a pen that looks like a tube of lip stick.

So If you are wondering what I did today.... well nothing. I slept in, and then I watched some Psych re-runs online. Then I have been messing around on the computer for a while. I will be getting ready to go to my basketball game at SBU later. So nothing big yet. I will post the conclusion of my day later. Well maybe not later tonight... but sometime when I have a chance. I'm sure that tomorrow will be very full of games. So I'm going to be very tired and won't have any time to post.

Busy Day #9

Since I didn't blog yesterday due to the crazy weather... I decided to do 2 posts.

Tuesday was really good.I got up and went to weights, which was pretty boring like usual. We had to run stairs,and do agility's. After weights I went to the store. We went out and did a cleaning job. It was really small and didn't take very long. We came back to the store, and then went with papa to have lunch at his house. I don't really remember what all went on... I fell asleep, and didn't wake up until Mom was there to pick me up. I was very tired. When we came home it was like pitch black out side. They were calling for some really bad weather but it just rained and was pretty windy. So I couldn't blog because of the lightening. It was kinda scary for a while. With not being able to blog I went upstairs and worked on another face picture. You know the ones that I got for my birthday. Well I did another one, and she is a little more wild. I thought she turned out good though. After a while dinner was ready and we came down and had some chicken and noodles. After dinner I put in a movie, The Bat, and Alex went out to shoot at birds again. Mom was in the sun room reading, and Dad left to go clean carpet at Woods. I finished the movie and then went to go and help Alex call birds. I couldn't do it very good so I came inside. I came in and started watching old home videos. They were so funny! Me and Alex watched them for a while, and by the end of the night all four of us were in Mom's bed watching them. There was one when Alex was just a baby, and I was two. It was Christmas morning and I had just opened a present that was a video. Mom asked me what it was about, and I said "Baby Jesus". It was Charlotte's Web!! Another one was of me and Alex shooting baskets in the kitchen. He was four and I was six. We were fighting over the ball or something and Mom said something like... I have the camera on, and I don't want to hear you guys still fighting in 20 years. It was really funny because we still fight about similar things all the time. It was so fun to watch videos of us in California with Sam. We had video of the Ocean, and Alex screaming when a wave knocked him over. (That was really funny... because he wouldn't get in! So I was standing in it ya know, and I kept saying- It's OK Alex! Then he finally gets in and the first wave is big and gets him all wet and knocks him over. He starts to get swept in and he starts screaming "DADDY!".) It was really fun to watch all of that stuff. We finally had to quit and go to bed. I slept in my bed for the first time all summer. I thought that It may help my back. It has been hurting a lot, and I think it actually did help a little. That's all for day #9.

This is another cool thing in my bible... Can you imagine... what it was like to live in bible times? Wake up to the sun, not an alarm clock... on a floor mat, not a bed- sleeping in wasn't as tempting back then. Make the food, bread, olive oil, figs, olives. Walk to the well for a bucket of water. Learn about stuff, not through written books, only through storytellers. Washing the clothes, uh, right. No washers and dryers. Shopping, no malls just open markets. Campfires at night no electricity or TV or Ipods, or computers. Bathing, not enough. Once a week instead of every day. Sickness, if someone was sick and got something like leprosy, they were cast out and had to live on the outskirts of town. Emergencies, the community helped each other out, no 911. No college, young men generally learned the trade of their father by being his apprentice. Young women learned about housekeeping and parenting from their mothers. Hubs of culture, church, family, etc. Entertainment, music, singing, dancing, weddings, etc.

Revelation 19:6 Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns!!

Revelation 22:5 God will be there with us in a new heaven and earth he'll crate. There will be no more death or mourning or pain. The new universe God creates will be spectacularly beautiful, and there will be no evil or sin. We'll serve God there. No one knows just how, but we won't be inactive or bored. We'll see God himself. And we will "reign for ever and ever."
